There's blizzard conditions all morning, yet the "great thinkers" at my office decided to open at regular work hours this morning (!!!), but will be closing at noon.  Really??? Give me a break!   

I live up a mountain and they hadn't even begun to clear the road till 9am!  It's been snowing steadily all morning... needless to say, I called out today.  No way was I going to risk life & limb to get to work for a few hours, then risk life & limb again to get home again.... and HOPE to get back up the mountain.

yeah thats companies for you. I remember when i was working my boss used to call us to say she was working from hom whenever it was bad out.   now she had the same trip as I did.  isnt life grand?     they can do what they want and still get paid.      the rest of us had to trudge to work.      I think it should be the same for everyone.     set the workers up so they can work from home if they can so they dont have to risk something happening or any worries.

I am home today. called the hospital to say I couldnt make it to my treatment . would have taken me over an hour or so to get there when its usually like 45 minutes.   no way.   who wants to risk that .      I will go tomorrow.      

i'm working from home today.  not exactly efficient because i also have to entertain DD and get lunch for DH, etc., but--better than taking a day off which i cannot spare.

i too live on a mountain and though they plowed the street, the black ice underneath means i'll stay put til this is finished and plows have been thru multiple times, with salt and sand.

outside looks like a ghost land.  no cars on the road.  yep i live in a development, but seriously--NO ONE is out.  it's totally quiet.  haven't even seen deer today.

A new year, a new decade, hopefully all changing for the better!

I'm not on the schedule for today thank GOD but I am for tomorrow so I'm praying this lets up soon

already shoveled once, will probably do so again a bit later on...

we had 145 dogs in kennel yesterday - I'm sure it's dead today and hoping it will be tomorrow too!

Turn not away strangers for some have entertained angels unaware

 Still snowing here.  I've made my second pot of herbal tea and hubby and I are working away at some projects, in between just chillin' w/our tea.
