CentralJersey.MomsLikeMe.com is partnering with the Newspaper in Education Program of the Home News Tribune and Courier News to launch the Cutest Baby Contest, a fundraiser to support literacy efforts in local schools. Starting at 9:01 a.m. Nov. 9, click HERE to enter a photo of your cute baby. Photos can be posted until 4 p.m. Dec. 4. Then, the voting begins. Click here to see the gallery of entries.

Until Jan. 9, you can log on and vote for the photos you like best. Three winners will be selected by user votes and receive photography sessions and print package from Heather Mosher Photography: a full photo session and $1,200 digital print package for first place ($1,400 value); a mini session and a $700 digital print package for second place ($900 value) and a mini session and a $500 digital print package for third place ($500 value).

The Newspaper in Education Program is designed to help every child understand current events and begin a reading habit that lasts a lifetime. One-hundred percent of donations from the CentralJersey.MomsLikeMe.com Cutest Baby Contest will benefit Gannett NJ Group Newspaper in Education Foundation, a non-profit foundation.

Ladies, get your photos sent in to this one. I just looked at the website and the photographer has a great eye, and her work is lovely. If you can win a free session w/her, you'd be very lucky!

I'm curious, the winners are "selected by user votes", does that mean the pictures with the most votes or the pictures with the most interesting comments in their votes or what?? This is obviously an AMAZING contest and one that I'd LOVE to win but I doubt I'd ever get the most votes because I don't know too many other moms on this site enough to beg them to vote for me LOL!

JennyC, it is the picture with the most votes. For this contest, because this is a fundraiser for the NIE, there is a suggested donation to NIE to vote. You can vote as many times as you like and feel free to get the word out with friends and family. Use Facebook, Twitter, whatever you can. We'll be spreading the word on the site and on MyCentralJersey.com to remind people to visit the gallery and vote, as well.
