I'm curious, the winners are "selected by user votes", does that mean the pictures with the most votes or the pictures with the most interesting comments in their votes or what?? This is obviously an AMAZING contest and one that I'd LOVE to win but I doubt I'd ever get the most votes because I don't know too many other moms on this site enough to beg them to vote for me LOL!

JennyC, it is the picture with the most votes. For this contest, because this is a fundraiser for the NIE, there is a suggested donation to NIE to vote. You can vote as many times as you like and feel free to get the word out with friends and family. Use Facebook, Twitter, whatever you can. We'll be spreading the word on the site and on MyCentralJersey.com to remind people to visit the gallery and vote, as well.

I was considering entering, but by looking at the site, it's going to be difficult for those that are not too internet savvy to find the kids.  You know some people just skim thru the pages, so when I first got on there I thought there were only the 3 kids photo's that come up on the home page from link, but of course after reading it then I realized you have to pick by the letters.  Just not realistic for people to click on each letter.  I'm sure the "A" babies will be chosen.  Maybe next time if the format is changed.  thanks

EricsMom, it costs money for people to vote online, $5 per vote, OR you have to have an official ballot from the newspaper! So, I don't think people will actually just be going to the site to spend $5 on a baby they don't know. I don't think the A babies really have any advantage!! If you're going to send an email to your friends to vote online (if they'll spend 5 bucks for you! LOL), you would just tell them to go to the letter of your last name. If you're using the official ballot, then it doesn't matter what letter, I'm sure there is a different way to vote using other information! So don't let that deter you!!! It's a GREAT prize, definitely worth giving it a try at least!! :)

EricsMom, you also can send your friends and family the link directly to your child's photo by using the "Email this to a friend" button next to the photo. Hope that helps, too.
