Hi, moms!
We have more holiday fun for you! I have a family four-pack of tickets to see Tom Chapin and Friends at 1 p.m. Nov. 28.
The show is part of the Raritan Valley Community College Theater's Sampler Series and will take place at the Clinton Township Middle School, 34 Grayrock Road in Clinton.
Stay tuned for more great ticket giveaways from RVCC Arts! We'll do another giveaway to the 3:30 Nov. 28 Tom Chapin show this Thursday!
Here's how to enter today's Gab & Grab:
1. Simply add to the conversation in this discussion (post below) anytime before 11:59 p.m., Nov. 10. 2. Your post must contribute to the discussion in some way: Answer a previous poster's question; ask a new question; introduce yourself; weigh in. 3. Random is ok. The discussion might go in any number of directions. That's great. But try to offer something more fun than saying you want to win. 4. Enter as many times as you like, as long as someone posts something between your two most recent entries. 5. Winners will be chosen at random from today's posts and announced online tomorrow. 6. Remember to check each day to see if you've won. Winners have 24 hours to respond, or a new winner will be selected. Winners can pick up their tickets at Will Call at the Clinton Township Middle School on the day of their show. Enter now to win four tickets to the 1 p.m. Nov. 28 show. What was your favorite song (or who was your favorite artist) as a child (any age)?

Young'un - definitely the Sesame Street theme song! I am so mad that they changed it up a bit!
I also like that "Peanut, peanut butter....and Jelly" song - anyone know that silly one the kids sing? I use the same tune to sing my son's whole name and he laughs every time. It's just the right number of syllables.
Middle School - definitely Madonna
High School - I was in love with Nirvana

The first two records I remember having were Happy Birthday Winnie the Pooh and Disco Mickey Mouse (which ROCKED and I wish I still had it -- I get songs like "Macho Duck" in my head LOL).

My best friend and I are from Pittsburgh, and we've been fans of Tom Chapin for years. We plan to drive ~330 miles each way to these shows if the weather is okay. If you have kids you must introduce them to Tom's music. You won't be disappointed. Make sure you bring a camera for a picture after the show. We have many pictures of our young friends through the years with Tom. They're priceless.

My favorite song when I was young.... I was known for loving christmas carols so much that I would sing them all year round (and I still do LOL). I remember REALLY loving The Monkees and I remember my mom bought me the album and it came in the mail, THAT was a really big day :) When I got older (preteen), I was a Duran Duran FANATIC complete with posters and magazines like Teen Beat EVERY WEEK!!! I loved EVERY song of theirs!
Currently, my favorite music is Thomas the Tank Engine! They actually have CDs with all the music from the show! We have them all and I love those silly songs! I love to sing them and my son sings with me!!
